EinkaufsFuchs is a device with digital voice output to assist blind and visually impaired persons with their shopping. For the first time, you will be able to browse through your supermarket round the corner or your larder at home. EinkaufsFuchs recognises products by their bar codes, which are printed on the vast majority of packages.

Its database contains many products that can be found in all German supermarkets. Already, EinkaufsFuchs can identify more than 500000 different items, like the most important household consumer goods, foods and all available music CDs and cassettes. The item data can be altered or extended at any time by simply exchanging the memory card containing all product data. In addition, you can enter new and unknown items yourself by using the built-in direct microphone.

EinkaufsFuchs is only slightly larger than a mobile phone and can easily be carried on your belt or in your bag or pocket. It comes with a small, omnidrectional scanner. The scanner is very easy to use and enables blind persons to locate the bar code quickly without having to worry about its aspect on the package. You will find the desired article in no time at all.
